All Saints Episcopal Church was formed in February 2009 at the initiative of a group of laypersons from Christ Church, Moline and Trinity Parish, Rock Island. This group not only wanted to remain loyal to the Episcopal Church following the secession by members of the Diocese of Quincy in November 2008, but more importantly they wanted to have a place to worship on the Illinois side of the Quad-Cities for all Episcopalians. Also, the retired rectors from both Christ Church and Trinity Parish and a former deacon from Christ Church were willing to offer their services for the founding of this community.

This combination of dedicated and enthusiastic laity and clergy leadership led to the formation of All Saints. We got off to a wonderful start, then were honored with a visit from the Presiding Bishop, The Most Reverend Katherine Jefferts Schori, just two months later on Palm Sunday 2009. The original enthusiasm and hard work continued as we added a mid-week Eucharist to our Sunday morning service, plus an active Episcopal Church Women’s Guild, Sunday School and Bible Study Groups. Everyone who has visited has commented on the warmth and welcome expressed by this congregation.

Rental space became available in the Riverside Life Center (the former Aldersgate Methodist Church) and that is where we hold our worship services. We invite you and your family to join us for a transforming traditional worship service on Sundays at 9:00 a.m., as well as our mid-week worship at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesdays through which we are all striving to become saints.
