Our Ministries
At All Saints, we actively bring God’s healing and hope to our community and the world through a variety of projects/partnerships.
Episcopal Church Women
All Saints Episcopal Church Women welcomes all women to participate and join us in our monthly meetings. We meet the third Thursday at 1:00 pm at 3145 31st Ave. Rock Island, September through June–June being our annual picnic. Join us in fellowship, faith, and service to our community as we undertake projects to give back to those in need or less fortunate. Our major fund raiser is during the month of November, when we offer items for sale following Sunday services. The proceeds from the fund raiser have been donated to various organizations including Humility of Mary, the ECW National Committee, Christian Family Care Center, Arrowhead Ranch, Winnie’s Place, and the Diocese of Chicago ECW. Donations may vary from year to year, depending on the amount of monies collected at the November bazaar.
Outreach to the world: Episcopal Relief and Development Gifts for Life
We collect quarters until we have sufficient funds to select a “gift.” What is a Gift for Life? Gifts for Life is a special way to change our world for the better by providing lasting solutions that fight hunger, create economic opportunities, support health education, and strengthen communities around the world.
Outreach in our community: Underwear/Socks
These are very much needed items by the homeless, so every fall and into the winter, we collect donations to purchase and distribute long underwear and socks to give to the homeless via the Humility of Mary and the Rock Island Shelter. We use any funds remaining during the spring and summer to provide toothbrushes.
Arrowhead Ranch
Members of All Saints Episcopal Church Women arrange for a celebration for at-risk youth who complete this transformational program.
Pennies for Seminarians
Members of All Saints Episcopal Church Women facilitate a pennies collection from parishioners and the money is used to purchase books for seminarians.
Change Lives Here
Every Sunday, we collect canned goods to share with the hungry in our community. We partner with Christian Friendliness Food Pantry.
Women’s Shelters
Once a month, we collect personal hygiene and other items to help support Winnie’s Place and Christian Care Women and Children Shelters.
CBW Gospel Music Camp
Every July, we help with a camp that reaches out to at risk youth and teaches them through the medium of music. Attendees learn about this wonderful genre of music. Our volunteers help with monitoring and group movement as well as assisting with serving lunch.
Red Cross
We also partner with the American Red Cross and have members who are very active on local Disaster Action Teams who respond to help people affect by fires, and volunteer to provide admin support.
